Update: Fundraising for Parkinson’s

Have you ever asked someone for help and been overwhelmed with their response? IT JUST HAPPENED TO ME! Less than 2 weeks ago, I turned to my church family at First Presbyterian in Greenwood for help with the fundraising I'm doing for the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's. WOW! That's the first thing that comes to mind to describe their response.

Very quickly the donations came in to my Fundraising page and even more personal checks arrived at my mailbox. I am truly humbled and amazed by the generous response. It's often cited that Mississippians donate more money per capita than any other state. All I can say to that is - IT IS TRUE!

Right now, the total contributions put me at 63% of my $10,000 goal. But, the real percentage is actually 84% because there are several hundred dollars in personal checks yet to be credited to the page. WOW and WOW! I can hardly believe it and now I will struggle to properly thank everyone for the love and support they've extended to me.
