Fighting Back

After having so many favorable comments from friends that saw this article in our local newspaper, I decided to share it on this journal. For those of you who haven't seen the article, ROCK STEADY BOXING is a 1-hour class, twice a week that I've been taking since October of last year. A visiting pastor at our church, Rob Weingartner, from Nashville, TN turned me on to it. And, I'm convinced it is a significant factor in mitigating my Parkinson's tremors.

Don't just take my word for it. Ask your neurologist, Google it online, search the dozens of YouTube videos, but definitely look into it.

IF YOU HAVE PARKINSON'S or know someone who does, the researcher's message starting at 6:42 in this CBS New Report should change your life. It changed mine.

Nearly one million Americans are affected by Parkinson's disease, for which there is no cure. But there is a new program using professional boxing techniques to counterpunch the neurological disorder. Correspondent Lesley Stahl and her husband, Aaron Latham, who has Parkinson's, visit the Rock Steady Boxing program to see the promising results.
